Library Board Orientation and Training
Ontario Library Service-North is committed to furthering the skills of trustees serving on northern public library boards.
Continuing Education
The Library Trustees Section is designed to provide background information to assist northern library trustees and librarians in the decision making process. To strengthen northern Ontario's trustees, staff can make presentations and conduct training sessions relevant to trustees and other library supporters. There are no costs for this service. To make arrangements for a presentation please contact Steven Kraus skraus@olsn.ca
Best Practices
It is important that library trustees speak out about how libraries benefit the public. Please feel free to share ideas that have worked at your library in trustee development, advocacy and governance issues. Send information to skraus@olsn.ca or fax it to (705) 675-2285.
