The whole family is encouraged to visit the Libraries to participate in the community programs and materials you will find on the shelves.
Online resources are available and library staff are available to assist in your search.
Each library branch has a good selection of adult paperbacks, hardcover novels, current magazines, popular juvenile reading material in both French and English and current movies to borrow. There is a limit of two DVD’s to each patron, 10 books, and a two weeks return policy on books and one week for movies.
Interlibrary Loan services can be arranged if the book you are looking for isn’t on our shelves.
Four public computers are available in each location to access the internet, plus one exciting Discovery Station for our younger patrons.
Early Literacy
Literacy begins by immersing children in literacy rich environments and fostering a love of reading and language as well as making the Library a fun place to be. The Markstay-Warren Library staff are committed to promoting an interest in books and helping children appreciate the rhythm of language. By reading stories and planning fun activities the story come alive for them.
Afterschool Drop-In Program
Young people are welcome to drop in to the Library after school to use the public computers, read, do homework, work on a craft, watch a movie, hang out with friends, or play games in an easygoing atmosphere.
School Visits
The students of Markstay Public School, Warren Public School, Camille Perron and St. Marks visit the library once a week with their class. Library books are chosen to nurture literacy skills in each age group as well as provide fun and entertainment

The Ministry of Government Services with the Ministry of Northern Development and Mines is partnering with public libraries to offer support and access to government resources online to individuals, families and businesses across Ontario.
Drop Box
For your convenience, there are drop boxes available at both locations to return movies and books after hours.
