Your Library Has:
	Books for people of all ages, on all sorts of subjects, as well as a collection of LARGE PRINT books. Interlibrary Loan is available if you can't find what you need in our collection. We can borrow books from other libraries in the province. Magazines on all types of topics. Videos and DVDs can be borrowed for 7 days only. We also belong to the new OLS-North DVD pool. XBOX, Playstation 3, and Wii Video games. Talking Books are available on CD and Playaway Portable Digital Audiobooks, just plug in a set of headphones and go. Read by famous authors and actors, for people who would like to listen to a book while drivng or doing something else. A Local History Collection is available for use in the library. Reading/Study Space is available for you to use when you want to read or use reference material in the library. Public Computers Free High Speed Internet Access, Wireless Internet. Also we have Microsoft Word for resumes and letters as well as Excel. The computers are not to be used for games or online chat. Fax and Photocopying is now available in the library. Fax - send $2.00 per page and $1.00 per page to receive Photocopying - 25¢ per page 1 side and 30¢ per page for both sides We have an Updated Reference Section that includes a 2005 World Book Encyclopedia, a Student Discovery Set and a 2005 Oxford Atlas of the world Please ask about our: Pedometer Lending Program Computer Tutoring Classes Digital Photo-editing Course Summer Program Book Club Scrapbooking Workshops March Break Events Skate Exchange Program Year round book sale Craft Classes and other special events throughout the year Early Literacy Station for children

How To Join:
	A library membership is free to residents and taxpayers of the town of Kearney and, effective January 1, 2008, Perry Township. Children under 16 are required to have their memberships signed by a parent or guardian. If you don't live in Kearney or Perry Township, you can join for an annual fee of $10.00.
Loan Regulations:
	You can borrow up to 6 books and 6 magazines for up to three weeks. Due dates are clearly marked on all borrowed items. Books can be renewed by telephoning 636-5849. We now have an answering machine so patrons may call anytime to renew their books. Books can be renewed up to 2 times at anytime by e-mail or phone. We have an answering machine for after hours (Except New or Reserved Books).
Overdue Charges:
	Overdue fines for Books is 10 cents per item per day to a $5..00 maximum per item. Overdue fines for Videos, DVD's and Video games is $1.00 per item per day to $10.00 max per item. Replacement cost for DVDs, Videos and Video games will be $30.00 plus a $5.00 administration fee for each.. Each member is responsible for all materials loaned on his or her card and will be billed for loss or damage. If your materials are overdue for 4 months you will lose your library priveleges.
