Our goal has been to provide an affordable and flexible alternative to street play for the children of our community, while providing numerous creative, educational and constructive activities in a safe environment for our children.

Volunteer Programme

The East Ferris Public Library  provides activities for students and adults on a first-come-first-serve basis.  Volunteers will be able to take advantage of a variety of opportunities through programmes and services. These programmes and services will provide volunteers with valuable employment experience, which otherwise may be difficult to gain in today's fiercely competitive job markets. In addition, volunteers will experience, possibly for the first time, a healthy work ethic, as well as discover their strengths, talents and interests in volunteer positions.
For more information, call: 705-752-2042 during regular library hours.

Wear your Jammies to the Library!

The East Ferris Public Library offers Storytime for children of any age.   “Wear your Jammies” begins @ 7pm every Monday evening and will last no more than 30 minutes. This programme is run throughout the school year and consists of stories, a general discussion and snack provided by Perron’s Freshmart of Astorville.

Summer Programmes

The Summer Reading Programme offered every year at all of Ontario’s Public Libraries starts in July. A free poster, stickers and logbook are donated by Toronto Dominion Bank in return for reading the whole summer long! Registration is required.
Please watch for more information in the library and in local newspapers in late spring.
