My First Library Card Certificates
Make your child’s first library card a memorable event. Ask the Library staff to issue a
“My First Library Card Certificate” in your child’s name. It comes rolled and tied with a ribbon ready for you to
give as a Christmas, Birthday or Get Ready for School gift. Your child presents the certificate to the Library staff
member who will issue the card, explain how to borrow books, congratulate your child and sign out their first book!
Your child can keep the certificate as a souvenir. Ask the staff for full details.
